Risk training and compliance across the financial services sector

Consultancy Matters LLC is an independent consulting company that operates across the global financial services industry.  Our expertise is in designing, developing and delivering skills enhancement programs that make a bottom-line difference.

These programs include both ‘hard’ skill areas – such as risk management, compliance and professional qualifications – as well as ‘soft’ skill areas like people management, leadership skills and coaching/mentoring.

And each program is individually created to meet the specific needs of each client organization and configured to be ‘Fit For Purpose’ using our proven training development framework of the same name.

To deliver these programs we work with expert associates, who have real world experience of successfully implementing best practice risk management and compliance policies and procedures within banks and other financial institutions globally.  Their work is complemented by other associates whose specialty and track record of success is in the ‘soft skills’ areas of people management, leadership skills and coaching/mentoring.

The result is that we develop a long-term bond of trust with our clients and become regarded as a ‘trusted adviser’ that they can return to time and time again.  And that relationship depth helps us serve them even better in the future.

What We Do

From corporate governance at the board-level through policy writing to process mapping, our expert staff have the experience  and knowledge to offer advice and execute training on the broad array of risk and compliance management issues affecting the financial sector today.

We also provide leadership and development training and, using our staff of experienced banking practitioners, we work closely with clients in the development of customized curricula geared to delivering specific returns on their investment.

We adapt our courses to the needs of our participants and include the client’s own terminology and processes in our materials in order to deliver a seamless ‘in-house’ training experience.  Our course design emphasizes the acquisition of sustainable skills in order to meet pre-defined performance or job targets.

Our educational links currently include alignment with two key business schools.  In the USA, our Chief Executive Officer is a member of the Global Council for Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona.  He is also an Executive in Residence and Director of the Thunderbird Global Risk Management Center at the School.  In the UK, we have a relationship with Oxford Brookes University, with whom Consultancy Matters is working on a number of risk management, research and student support initiatives.

Whether through our corporate training activities or our academic links, Consultancy Matters LLC is committed to the ongoing education of current and future risk professionals.
